Public Works Department handles maintenance, operation and repair of City streets, traffic signs and signals, streetlights, sidewalks, sewers, storm drains, parks and municipal buildings.

City Streets
The Public Works Department is responsible for 60 miles of street maintenance and minor repairs, including repairing or replacing damaged or lost street signs, damaged or non-functioning traffic signals and street lights.
​
Sewer & Stormwater Management
The Public Works Department operates the sanitary sewer collection and treatment within the city. Beginning in 2015, wastewater treatment for the city will take place at a new regional treatment plant south of Marysville operated by Linda County Water District.​
