CODE ENFORCEMENT

 

Code Enforcement is responsible for preserving the quality and value of public and private property and maintaining a high standard of living by eliminating conditions that threaten the life, health, safety, and general welfare of the public. Code Enforcement responds to and investigates reported or observed violations of the Marysville Municipal Code involving any of the following:

If you wish to report a possible violation, be prepared to give a clear description of the problem, referring to one of the conditions listed, along with the specific street address of the location involved. You may remain anonymous, but we will not be able to contact you for further information, should that be needed.

  • Overgrown vegetation

  • Violations of City zoning code

  • Non-compliant signage

  • Housing and building code violations

  • Illegal construction or occupancy

  • Construction and related installations without a building permit

  • Dangerous and unsafe buildings

  • Occupancy of substandard structures

  • Hazardous or unsanitary environmental conditions

  • Accumulation of debris, brush, trash, junk, recyclables, lumber, furniture, tools

  • Discarded appliances

  • Abandoned or broken equipment

  • Graffiti

  • Autos, campers, trailers used for human habitation

Code Enforcement also does not respond to private civil or personal issues, or violations of covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&s) of homeowner or neighborhood associations.
